Brit Grit Alley features news and updates on what's happening down British crime fiction's booze and blood soaked alleyways.

By Paul D. Brazill

Now Then!  Everyone likes free stuff and here's a new crime fiction anthology that is going for nowt!  Worth The Wait is a collection of nineteen short crime stories that was spawned by Bloody Scotland's recent competition, and sponsored by Glengoyne Whisky. You can pick up the anthology  for FREE here.
True Brit Grit- A Charity Anthology edited by myself and  Luca Veste is now for sale as an ebook for  less than a pound/ dollar.  There are forty five gritty stories from the likes of Ray Banks, Allan Guthrie, Charlie Williams, Julie Morrigan, Howard Lynskey, Sheila Quigley, Nick Quantrill, Matt Hilton and MORE. You can get it from Amazon  here.
Speaking of Nick Quantrill, his Brit Grit novella Bang, Bang You're Dead will be out soon from Byker Books. I have a chat with Hull's finest crime writer here.
A couple of good guest posts: Barry Graham is over at Pulp Pusher talking about zen and crime writing, and Zoe Sharp talks about 'creating back story for characters' over at Graham Smith's blog.
And finally, it's good to see Nigel Bird's 'teacher noir' In Loco Parentis doing so well but a bit bizarre to see it in the Men's Adventure Fiction charts!
See you soon, same Brit Grit Time, same Brit Grit Channel.
