Brit Grit Alley

Brit Grit Alley features news and updates on what's happening down British crime fiction's booze and blood soaked alleyways.

By Paul D. Brazill

Davy Sheridan has everything to live for; a beautiful wife, a steady job and his first child on the way, but after one horrific night of tragedy, he finds himself staring into the very depths of the abyss. 18 Days is an intensely harrowing tale of one man’s spiral into self-abuse as he stalks around the darkest corners of a hostile city, trying to hide from the very things that are keeping him alive. A storm is forever raging and a sinister trench-coated figure is watching and reporting Davy’s actions to people unknown. Will he emerge from the other side of this nightmare or will he be lost forever in its velvet grasp?

The Best of British collection is an ongoing series of novellas set in the grimy underbelly of our fine country that is designed to highlight the writing talent that is out there today. We're proud to bring you this Allen Miles piece and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

There'll be more carryings on down Brit Grit Alley very soon, sorta kinda thing, like.
